Why We Are Reviewing the Constitution
The existing Constitution of the Nashik Bar Association was framed at a time when the Association had far fewer members and simpler operations. With over 6,500 members today, practicing across District Courts, Revenue Courts, Tribunals, and quasi-judicial bodies throughout Nashik District, a modernised constitution is needed to ensure transparent governance, equitable representation (including women and junior advocates), sustainable finances, and clear administrative processes.
Table below presents each article as it exists today, the amendment proposed by the drafting committee, the reason for the same, and the suggestions by the Nashik Bar Association. Members are encouraged to study these proposals carefully before the Special Meeting.
