Key Notes
- Women advocates may also contest for general category posts in addition to reserved seats.
- Term of the Managing Committee: 4 years.
- Candidates must be NBA members for at least 2 consecutive years with subscriptions paid on time.
- If elections are delayed, a Special Meeting shall be called and the existing committee continues until the new committee takes charge.
Statutory Committees
The following committees, each of up to 7 members from the Managing Committee, shall be constituted:
- Credentials and Membership Committee — examines applications, recommends on membership matters.
- Law and Procedure Committee — proposes constitutional amendments, reviews legislation, prepares drafts and legal aid.
- Education Committee — informs members of changes in law, arranges lectures and public education.
- Grievance Committee — handles inter-member complaints, staff complaints, and workplace harassment (per Vishakha guidelines).
The President and General Secretary are ex-officio members of all above committees.
